- This futsal team’s name is a portmanteau of the “shrike” bird and the soccer term “striker.” The shrike, called mozu in Japanese, is also the official bird of Osaka Prefecture.
It is believed that the shrike can forecast the change of seasons, while the striker in futsal constantly pursues wins; thus all Shriker Osaka players always move towards their destiny of victory.

The first target is to do better than last season’s fourth place finish. The next goal is of course to win the title.

Shrappy wears number 100.
He welcomes fans to the match venue and puts on dribbling and shooting shows during halftime.
